Valentine's Day

We had lots of fun on Valentine's Day! We passed out our valentine's and had a party. Thank you to the parents who contributed to our party and for the ones who were able to come and help out :)

100th day of School!

Last week we celebrated the 100th day of school! Here are a few pictures. We had lots of fun and even got to rotate classes!

Interactive Writing

Your children LOVE when I read them big books, so last week we decided to make our own big book. Each day we worked on writing a few sentences to go into our book. Today was an exciting day for them because they were allowed to illustrate our book!

I have been slacking in the blog department and I apologize! My goal is going to be to update it atleast once a week! We have started learning a lot of new things in Math and your children are very excited at all they are learning.

We have started Word Study and the class really seems to be enjoying it! We have started with easy sorts so that we are able to teach your child the different sorts. We have learned how to sort on our own, with a buddy, and speed sort!

Boosterthon Fun Run

The Boosterthon Fun Run is underway and we are already having so much fun! Yesterday we had a pep rally at school to get the kids excited about the run. Lets start collecting those pledges! :)

How Many Pumpkins Tall Are You?

We have been learning all about pumpkins and have been doing lots of fun activities! In Math last Thursday we talked about estimating. each child had to guess how many pumpkins tall they were and then we graphed it. After we were done, we measured each child to see how accurate their guess was!

Mr. Thomas Teaches Kindergarten

So sorry I am behind on posting on the blog, we have been VERY busy! I am sure you have heard all about it from your child, but we had a guest teacher a few Fridays ago! Mr. Thomas and his assistant Mrs. McLaughlin came and taught our class, while Mrs. Lanier and I went and taught his class in 4th grade. We sure did miss our kindergarteners by the time we got back.
